Session Fees

I don't work directly with insurance companies. For individual and extended sessions, I can provide a superbill you're welcome to submit to your insurer for possible out-of-network reimbursement. If you don't request one, no claim is filed and no diagnosis is submitted to an insurance database, a separation many of the clinicians I work with specifically value, given credentialing and licensing considerations. Intensives and couples work are private pay only.

Under the No Surprises Act, you're entitled to a Good Faith Estimate outlining the expected cost of your care. You'll receive this before we begin, and you're welcome to request an updated estimate any time your needs or treatment plan change.

Sessions canceled with less than 24 hours' notice, or missed without notice, are billed at the full session rate. Life happens, and I'll always work with you when something genuinely unexpected comes up, but this policy helps me hold space reserved specifically for you.

CANCELLATION POLICY

I'm a licensed clinical social worker in Washington, Oregon, and Massachusetts  with a master's degree in social work from Boston University and over fourteen years of clinical experience, including a decade spent in emergency departments and medical crisis settings. What is your training and experience: "I am an EMDRIA certified EMDR therapist, trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy, and I stay current through ongoing certification in trauma-focused modalities.

What is your training and experience?

Individual sessions are $275 (50 minutes) and $475 (100 minutes), and trauma intensives are booked as half- or full-day packages starting at $2,000. I can provide a superbill for individual and extended sessions that you're welcome to submit to your insurer for possible out-of-network reimbursement. If you don't request one, no claim is filed and no diagnosis is submitted to an insurance database, a separation many of the clinicians I work with value, given credentialing and licensing questions. Intensives and couples work are private pay. If you have questions about coverage, reach out and we'll talk it through, and you'll receive a Good Faith Estimate up front so the investment is clear before we begin.

How does payment work?

Yes. EMDR is one of the most researched trauma treatments available, recommended by the World Health Organization, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, and the American Psychological Association. Intensive formats in particular show comparable or faster symptom reduction, with no increase in adverse events.

Are EMDR intensives evidence-based?

Many of the professionals I work with wouldn't call their own experiences trauma. Repeated exposure to high-stakes situations and sustained responsibility for others leaves a mark, even when everything was handled well in the moment. Intensives give that mark room to settle.

Do I need to have experienced trauma to benefit?
